Don't be too hasty!!!

I am going to try and give a very honest assessment of only my situation. First, I want to thank Management especially (Tina) for helping me through a very difficult and uncomfortable situation. In all honesty if it wasn't for Management and Tina I would be in a bad way about now. I do not have family in this area so they assisted me the best way they could. I plan to write to their boss on their behalf. Thanks again Tina and management. Now, I will try and be fair. I will say that the construction of the buildings probably could have been done better. That is not Management's fault. I also know that when you look at an apartment and/or house you should know what you are getting for the most part before you move in and sign the lease or contract. I know you don't have the chance to have a Inspector go through an apt. like you would a house but you can't tell me that you didn't see what type of construction the apartment was beforehand. I think that there are a number of individuals whom for whatever reason may have had some problems and now want to take it out on everyone concerned. I also think that some individuals may not have been able to get into certain places due to credit, income, employment and/or background checks, race and national origin (------- American, Hispanic, Middle Eastern...etc) children...etc. Yes, there are complexes that due discriminate against individuals due to race, national origin...etc. I know because I investigate this type of thing. The Reserve took them irregardless. I would be curious to see if the Reserve was their no. 1 choice. Did they get in other complexes they applied to' I would just say that in selecting an apartment. You really have to do your homework.
1. Look at the construction carefully.
2. Check out the residents that live there
3. Ask residents about the place (those moving out and currently living there)
4. Check out the location. Is there a lot of hanging around in the parking lots'
5. Is trash a problem. Not being picked up
6. Check out the landscaping
7. How does Management treat you and others
8. Is the parking lot well lit.
9. The bottom line is that there is a lot of things that new tenants can do before signing any lease. Don't be too quick to sign something unless your questions have been answered satisfactorily.
Yes, the Reserve has it's share of problems but many apartment complexes will have it problems be it noise, trash, maintenance...etc. I don't think that there is an apartment building that is 100% perfect. It doesn't exist. BUY A HOUSE.
