Sorry to be so blunt. The problems began immediately after we moved in, with our A/C. It was obviously leaking coolant; the filter kept getting soaked with liquid that smelled like A/C coolant. Rather than repairing the problem, management sent someone to replace the filter something like six times in two weeks. That one still isn't resolved; we just don't need our A/C now.

Our neighbors, to judge by the leasing agreement, should have been evicted several times over by now. Some partying on the weekends is cool, but these guys are drunk or stoned, and outside screaming about it, every single night. One guy plays his bass so loudly--all night--that our furniture shakes; others are really scary drunks, throwing glass bottles at each other and anyone else who happens along. The management has consistently ignored our complaints, and even police warnings to these guys. When we threatened to move out, we finally got some attention, and an offer to switch to another apartment in the same complex at our own expense. The best deal we could bludgeon out of these people was a move within the complex, without having to pay their transfer fees, and we have to move in four days. When I finally gave up reasoning with them and had my dad call, the management flat-out lied, claiming that they couldn't take any action against our neighbors, because they had no written complaints about them! With my roommates, I've filed at least half a dozen, and at last count they had around ten apiece from various other sources.

Don't live in E, assume your laundry is going to get stolen, and come planning to sleep in earplugs with your music turned up as loud as possible, and you'll get along fine. Provided that functional appliances don't matter much to you.

Second thought: just don't live here at all. You'll get more helpful management and quieter, more comfortable surroundings staying in the dorm.
