Great deal.

I lived at the Farms for 3 years in a one bedroom unit. It has its ups & downs, and was sold twice while I was here, but now is owned by K&S properties.
I like the fact the mgmt generally stays out of your life, no excessive "maint. checks" or anything, but the 24 maint line is always open and relatively effecient. The gate staff (especially Jory) is always friendly, and will get to know you and your guests within a month or two.
The buildings are old, but were renovated shortly before I moved in, so the interiors of the apartments are definitely in good shape. The bathroom, however, is tiny as all heck, so be prepared for no storage and a very tiny bath area. On the other hand, it has THREE closets in the 1bedroom, so you have tons of storage.
The laundry facility is nice, and even has cameras to keep people from yanking your clothing, but the new dryers cost 1.50 instead of the usual 75 cents. It also has a club house, but most of the facilities in there are moderate at best. The pool can be hit or miss - sometimes if you complain about it, they'll get back on the ball for a few months.
Overall, its a great apt complex for independent students, and even has a trolley to take students to BU campus during the school year. Just make sure you live on the North side of the complex (Buildings A-M), since that is where most of the people ages 18-26 live - otherwise you'll be with a bunch of families and screaming children.
