I lived in Ashton Oaks for about a month with some girls I went to HS with when I was waiting for my own apt. right around the block. The apt. are all bills paid, but the truth is, the apt. itself is just plain scary. There are a lot of shady looking people walking around there at all hours of the night. You hear the pimped out ghetto mobiles with their "banging" systems ALL THE TIME! You can not leave the apt. without locking and checking out all your doors/ windows. I had money stolen from me, cars getting broke into right next to me. I had to take out my CD face EVERYTIME I got out of the car, even if it's for like 10min. The water stays hot for like 2min, then it's ice city. The air conditioner needs conditioning of its own, and lets see...there are roaches and ants. The cable does not work properly... All in all, these apts. are not worth the money you are paying, even if its all bills paid. I mean your life is worth more than what you are paying. I was always scared I was going to getting mugged...Oh yeah and the parking...haha it's like driving on the moon--craters EVERYWHERE! I had a flat tire bc I ran over a screw... odusyNYCcZ7yL3Bj5JtG

In the last 18 months the complex has changed hands. The new property managers/owners have turned the complex around for the better. The air conditioners have been repaird and updated, the parking area has also been repaired, and in some places completey replaced. More renevations include roof repairs (due to recent unfortunate weather), pool renevation and repair, lighting renevations to improve saftey of its residents. Security is now in place nighty and has made a definite impact over the last year. The complex is still in slight disrepair, but with the new management putting forth the effort and funds, the property is coming together nicely. Resident M. Prnka

I know for a fact that drugs are being sold out of an apartment here at Ashton Oaks and management knows about it and not only have they let the drug dealers continue to live there they are supposed to be hiring one of the drug addict/drug dealers to be a manager. How scary is that going to be. No one here feels safe anymore but most don't know what to do.

i lived in ashton oaks now for 8 mo. my ac filter has never been changed since i have lived here. there was a drug bust 2 doors down from me and they were not kicked out. i know that drugs are being sold at the apt. i have seen the transaction right in front of me. the new management has not done one single thing to inprove this apt complex. the maintance men do not fix your stuff right therefore you still have problems. one of my neighbors said it is worse than living in the ghetto. when i moved in last summer they said the pools will be ready by this summer. and there not. they are still moldy and green and they other pool dont even have any water in it. it just has a buntch of trash. they raise your rent everytime your lease is up. all these apt are not worth the money they ask for. something defiantly needs to be done about this.
