I lived at Brazos Park for four years-while at Baylor from my Junior year of undergrad and through graduate school. In that time, I saw 4 different managers. One manager was stealing money from residents and I reported her to the regional manager. She retaliated by saying my boyfriend (nonexistant) took my Jeep (which I don't lend out to imaginary boyfriends) and broke the gate by repeatedly ramming my Jeep into it(no scratches, though). Finally, she got fired. The next management team were super rude and made racist comments about the ------- American groundskeepers. The ones following that were almost worse. I was scared to go to the office to get my packages. Oh! I almost forgot! The apartments used to be the projects and little kids run through the back gate and steal things. My car was broken into 6 times. Once a bum was sleeping in my car with a blanket. He ate cupcakes and the sprinkles were left on the floormats. I'm so not making this up. I also saw many fugitives stealing bikes from people and cops wrestling people to the ground right outside of my door. You don't want to live here. I know it is close to the river and seems nice. It's not. And I didn't get my deposit back.

I think that this review is referring to the apartments on the NORTH side of MLK called University Club apartments. It's true that University Club used to be a HUD project. Brazos Park is on the SOUTH side of MLK, and was never a project and is much safer and nicer.
