The apartments were OK for the price. Management puts up with my griping about the leafblowers because I work nights, and they just like to play jetpacks with them while I try to sleep what little I can between loud trucks outside and a dog kennel underneath. The ducks like to bite, but are safe to feed off of your balcony and it's kinda fun watching them fight over bread crumbs. That, and watching the occasional dead fish float by down the river.

I haven't had any problems with hoodlums "shopping" in the parking lot. Although It does get a little "dark" across the river in the park. Gunshots are not an unfamiliar sound while they eminate from across the river.

The kitchen is comparable in size to that in an 80's model travel trailer, with a dirty stove and no burner pans. The dishwasher is loud and leaks water on the floor. There's sugar ants infesting the entire apartment, and they eat more food than my wife and I combined. Yes, fun times trying to shove our entire pantry into a mobile home style refridgerator. And the washer/dryer area is at a minimum.

The vaulted celings are nice, providing you can afford high energy bills made worse by the efficiency losses from the air conditioner compressor unit being 50 feet away from the actual room, not helped by 20 years of use, and the 6" gap at the top of the door.

Oh yeah, and our building is slowly sliding into the river.
