The complex is old, you hear every move you neighbor makes, you can expect your apartment to be nearly the same temp as outside due to no insulation. The windows sweat so badly that mold would form causing you to clorox them once a week in winter.
Maintenance is a joke, just some guy they picked up off the street to use duct tape and paper clips. The management ladies behave like a bunch of junior high kids, every time you walk in the office they are gossiping about a tenant, or making fun of someone. I had lockout threats because they kept posting my rent to the wrong apartment. IT WASN"T my writing, they were set up on bill pay, I even say one of the Chase billpay checks that were sent, standard text showing the apartment number.
I came from a family that didn't own guns, and never had one at any time during my life. After the first three months of living at this complex, I purchased one. It might be gated, but there is just as much trash living there as outside the gates. Their background checks are incomplete. I would recommend doing your own research as to the crime, sex offenders listings, ect. and if you choose to live in a unsafe environment, by all means sign a lease.
