lots of people at this school want to show other people they have money. my guess, is that in the early 90's, developers figured this out and started building apartments that
A. are really expensive
B. appear to be nice
C. aren't nice at all
LL Sams is one of those. the concept of the places, sells the place. that is, its been renovated from an old furniture factory to a Loft Complex. That all appears to be nice and everything, but once you live there you realize how much it sucks.
The hot tub never works, the walls are horribly thin and whomever built the place didnt account for the fact that you have to heat and cool the apartment. I think the metal roof is mostly the culprit here when its hot....cause it bakes hardcore. Contrary to what some people say, having the high ceilings actually DOES help cool the place in the summer...hot air rises, its simple. The only problem, is there is no proper cross wind/vents to actually circulate air, so that compunds the issue, that and the metal roof....which is just dumb but im figuring it was real cheap to install.
Speaking of cheap, that describes the walls. I think that if you are quiet enough, you can hear your neighbors blink, sneeze, fart or mime things to their friends.
In comparison, ive had friends live at the Oaks, which used to be project housing....and come to think of it i'd rather live there than at the lofts again.
Management just sorta seems to sit there, although i really don't have any complaints directly at them. after all, they didnt build the --------.
Security gates what' aren't those supposed to be closed' .....ya thats funny.
Taking all of that into consideration, i'd say these places are a huge waste of your money or your parents money, but then we are back at square one.
People like to show they have money to waste around here and thats why most people move in to begin with.

I agree totally, the gates were broken, or always jacked open. NOISE is worse than ever!

Ha ha, the projects are better than LL Sams? COuld be, especially the noise! I'd rather hear an occasional drive-by than every freaking sound in both apartments around me!!

when was l.l. sams built? yeah around 2000, not in the 90's.
