After reading some of these reviews, I just wanted to put my two cents in.
LL Sams is not that bad. The maintenance was amazing. Sergio came whenever we needed him. Two days max every time. In the winter, our heater broke, but that was fine because we didn't want to turn it on anyways to keep the heat bill down. Sergio fixed it the next day.
The gate did break occasionally, but I still felt safe. Watching the parking lot flood was cool during rain storms. The really funny part was watching the people who had cars low to the ground, drive through the water.
Bills were high, but they averaged out. Insulation does suck, but that's what you get. I swore I heard my neighbor fart one time, but if you get a fan, you can't hear it. We had a lot of noise problems in Building 1 and have called the police a couple of times on the drunken parties, but the police take forever and a day to come, so it's almost not even worth bothering.
Watch out for the dog crap. Almost stepped on some that was on the sidewalk a couple of times. People don't seem to know how to clean up after their animals.
During basketball season, getting down Daughtry is a ----- with the cars parked all up and down the street. You pretty much need to find another route in order to get back to the apartment, but then again, you don't have to worry about parking at the Ferrell Center cause you can just walk!
Other than that, living at LL Sams has to be one of the best things I have done. I absolutely loved our apartment and will suggest APT 1314 to anyone with about 4 to 5 roommates (mainly for bill splitting and the fact that it's a big 4 bedroom)! It totally has the best view and the biggest rooms and best layout.
