Mark Twain Apts are pretty nice places when location and cost are considered. MT is close to Campus near Baylor U [about a 3 minute walk to the SLC and 11-13 minutes to farthest point on campus]. .
They are all two bedroom units and current cost is 620.00 which is 310.00 pp if you have two in there. Ive had friends with 3 people in the apartments, 2 in the large room and that wasnt too cramped.
Some places this close to campus are pretty darn expensive, as much as 100.00 more per mo.
MT arent new and there are 'cheaper' places to stay but those arent as nice as MT or they are further away from campus. Im not saying MT is something to write home about though; its not luxury living. They are steadily putting in new carpet and furniture in each unit, though. My unit is unfurnished which gives me a lower price.
The pool is usually kept up nice and the Manager Lisa M is real nice and helpful. There are also swings in front of each Apt. which is cool to have.
Being so close to campus means you dont have to get a parking pass either, which saves a little.
If you are willing to get away from campus a bit you can get a much larger house for quite a bit cheaper, but MT is a nice alternative to that.
