I paid $625 for a good-sized apartment (750 sq. ft.) at Pecan Ridge. PR looks nice and pristine from the outside, although it could use a fresh coat of paint, but it definitely is nicer on the outside than the inside. All of my appliances and fixtures just seemed old, e.g. the toilet with the crack in the bowl.

Problem 2: Management. When I FINALLY received my deposit check, they had spelled my name incorrectly on the actual check as well as shorted me by $150 (half of the pet deposit is refundable, and I have a small dog who did no damage). It took them 2 more months to send the remaining $150, and when they did, it was on another check with my name spelled wrong. I should add that I have a traditional American name that it would not take a rocket scientist to spell.

Problem 3: Wild life. If you don't like bugs, do not move here. There are LOTS of terrific pets on the grounds, e.g. the hornet nest above my unit.

Problem 4: Safety. The lighting is terrible, and there were several cars broken into in the time I was there. Enough said.

Problem 5: They only keep up the part of the complex visible from the road. Don't be blinded by the beautiful landscaping at the front of the complex--the unit you will actually get will be surrounded by fallen tree branches and definitely no flowers.

Problem 6: The lap pool was closed for like half of the month of August. I don't consider this to be acceptable.

That pretty much sums up my feelings for PR. And it seemed so great at the time I signed my lease...oh well, I'm out of there now.
