I have read many of the previous reviews by past tenants and the responses left by "mejust", i guess on behalf of management and I have to say...in comparison to my experience as a resident, these previous residents are right! With the exception of rude/bad experience with management because I dont interact with management unless dropping off rent payment, and naturally there always happy to see you then.But apartment was in bad condition when moved in with promise that once I filled out the maintenace sheet it would be taken care of...yeah right! When we moved in (2007)we were told key/lock would be switched...the dumbass maintenace guy at time never showed up, not only didn't we have a key, we had to buy/install our own lock, then office sent letters about residents who would be charged for change of locks if copy of key wasn't given to them..I feel I should have been reimbursed for having to buy & change it myself! The apartments were roach infested (still are) no matter what i bought/used to get rid of roaches, nothing worked, no matter how clean i kept apartment! Maintenance was called about many issues, they would show up then say they need to get right tools or buy a part then NEVER return! There is now different people in office and different maintenance people on grounds and am happy to see they atleast look busy. My year lease is just about up, I will not renew. My biggest complaint/problem unfortunately is not so much roaches, maintenance, or loss of AC for few days and not being able to open any windows caused they are sealed...it's the residents! The people here are bringing down the quality of the complex. Not all people are bad, but the majority of people are loud, rude, and confrontational. People leave trash/furniture outside and the children play on it like a playground instead of going to designated play areas.Residents dont know how to park in a space correctly, or dont care.Plus park in parking areas which are 2-3 units away from where they live...why'' They drive down middle of street and stop to have conversations without regard to others trying to drive thru, then give you a nasty look when you do drive by. Kids play in street and dont care about hitting cars with balls, rocks, sticks as you drive by. people look at you as if they're waiting to start a fight. I have a 5 yr old son and refuse to let him play outside, I've seen kids beating other kids with sticks and parents having to argue and fight with other parents...What can I say, the apartments need alot of work, but all that work is useless if the residents dont appreciate and take care of there own homes. Slummy people make apartments appear slummy...and that's the case here! I moved in do to my inablility to afford anything better at the time, but I have saved from my tax refund, specifically to move out and I relieved my time here is nearly up, hopefully somewhere with better quality of people and living!
