I would like to discuss something that is rarely brought up in apartment reviews, but is of primary importance to me: what kind of internet service can you get'

The answer at Sterling/University Parks: None.

University Parks thinks that they are doing everyone a favor by providing free "high-speed internet". First of all, it was a standard Grande home connection split amongst the several hundred people that live there. Also, because it was all handled by UP you couldn't get a public IP address. Good luck hosting any websites! It was usually very slow and unreliable. The only thing worse than all of this is that you have no choice! You can't get your own service - you're screwed.

If a public IP address and "normal" internet service is important to you, then don't even think about University Parks.

Also, good luck ever having guests over. The psychotic towing company drives around all night and waits for people who park in non-visitor parking to leave their car and then they swoop in and throw a boot on it and then proceed to hold their car ransom. I think that this practice shows how very little the management really cares about tenants and their guests.

You might want to check your lease.... I'm pretty sure you signed something and agreed to not "hoting any websites" Maybe you should have thought about that before siging your lease. You can't complain about something that you knew about going into it. I lived there from 2001-2004 and I am THRILLED to hear that they are having tow trucks come in. Do you know how frustrating it is to not be able to park near your apartment because the "guests" are not parking in the designated guest parking spots? I live there. I pay the rent. Not them.
