Lived at UP for 3 years. No regrets.

Whoever so anonymously posted that ridiculously long list of grievances in October needs to calm down. It's a LOT of good stuff for the price! If you're the person paying for the most expensive floorplan (a two-bedroom), then you should point at no one but yourself for not getting your money's worth. But if you're paying $399 for a four-bedroom, it's a GREAT deal. And I know that before I left: they fixed the movie chair that was broken, got a new printer in the computer room, and changed management & maintenance.
I'll admit that I wasn't pleased when I first moved in. It was not as clean as I wanted it to be, but complaining to the staff isn't going to get it clean either. My roommate and I took 30 minutes to clean a few things and then it was ready to live in. Soon after we moved in, our kitchen faucet started leaking. It turned out great though because (they replaced it right off the bat) we got a fancy new one that never leaked again for the next 3 years.
Never had a mouse problem, roach problem, ant problem, or spider problem.
I wish that the people with dogs cared about their neighbors enough to pick up after their pets, but that didn't happen very often.
Always found a good parking spot. Never a shortage. They got rid of their towing policy after we had lived there for 6 months. That was a good choice.
The hot tub didn't work for about 2 years, but for my last year it was great.
Always had free food and t-shirts at events. I had so many shirts that I gave most of them to goodwill.
Lastly, to those whiners who feel violated: This might be a shocker to you guys, but every apartment complex I've ever lived at had the right to enter unannounced. It's not just at UP. Buy a house if it bothers you so much.
I only left UP when I graduated and moved to another city. It's better than most college apartments. Although some of the clientele is changing, I would still consider it part of the Baylor Bubble with its fair share of dumb girls who still live off their parents.
