I have lived here since aug 2003. I absolutely hate it here. The rent is too high, the apartments suck, the RAs are a joke (as are the cops). The staff are dicks and we pay out the ass for nothing. For the price I pay for a room in a 4 bdroom I could have a fairly nice apartment off campus. We are forced to sleep in nasty, old, uncomfortable beds. Sure we can bring our own but the one that we are forced to rent must stay in the room. 875 sq ft for 4 people to share isn't enough. You don't always get what you pay for. $1296 a month for a 4 bed 2 bath apartment. I have done alot of research on apartments in the waco area and there are no other apartment complexes that are this high. Parking is awfull. I work most days after school and do not get back to the apartments until late, so I always have to park like 10 apartments away from mine. Now I move on to the roomate issues. Two of my roomates smoke weed and drink all the time. I drink but I'm not about to risk what all I have done to get where I am at. One of those roomates is an imature spoiled little ----. Fresh out of highschool. I want to move out, but our RA would have to come and talk to us to try and settle the matter first. That is --------. IF there is an opening in another apartment and I want to move, I should be allowed. In a REAL apartment you can do that. I really enjoy going to TSTC, but if I had it to do all over again, I would still be living at home driving 45 miles everyday. Do not live here, you will regret every aspect of it. If you like to party all the time, get arrested or live in ----, by all means move to VOA, but you're only screwing up your life.
