OK, I lived in Village Oaks from Aug. 2005 to April 2007. I was excited to get out of my parents house and live on my own. I also believed that living on campus would be the perfect way to meet people. Well I did meet people but way lower than expected. Most of the students that live here are guys that sit in their rooms playing video games all day complaining that there are no girls here. I know because I was like that. I remember walking around the apartments hoping to meet people but everybody was inside. This was at 8PM on a Fri. night. Everybody leaves on the weekends, the campus police are quick to shutdown any partys, so if you like to study, this place is perfect.

Now, when I came here a 4 bedroom apartment was $348 per person and when I left it was raising to about $370. Even though they pay for water and most of the electricity, IT IS NOT WORTH IT. They rooms are SO small. I had room for my twin size bed, TV, and mini fridge. The bathroom really small, the living room is cramped with a couch and coffee table in it (which they make you pay a furnitiure deposit), and the kitchen is tiny. With four people paying close to $1600 a month for this' Crazy!

The only thing I like about living here is that it was a couple of minutes away from the school so I could come home and sleep in between classes. And the internet provided by school is pretty fast and cheap, $60 for four months. The apartments look nice on the outside but totally suck on the inside.

The maintenence is OK with the work orders getting done within 2 days but our air conditioner kept breaking every month. We had roaches in here, they came and sprayed, and more roaches showed up. Parking hard to find in the Fall, OK in the Spring, and easy as hell in the Summer because everybody got out of Village Oaks. I wouldn't really recommend any other campus housing so if you have to live here, I'm sorry.
