Move out NIGHTMARE!!!

Thank goodness I no longer live here!!! At first I didn't think it was so bad, but man I was WRONG after I left! I complied with the lease and put in my 30 day notice, and asked the mgmt what I needed to do for move out, such as cleaning...they told me to clean it as I usually do and that is it! I scrubbed my ASS off cleaning everything...I thought it looked pretty damn good and clean. Well, two weeks later after I had moved out, I received a bill. I knew I would for my final water payment, but not for what I opened...they sent me a bill to replace the f'n carpet! I had to pay them $579.00 because they said I had ruined the carpet and there was stove damage...BS! Anyway, when I called to discuss it and possibly work out payments, that capital B, Judy began to yell at me as if I was her 13 year-old daughter---where does she get the nerve' I hated it here, and couldn't wait to move...they took me for all I was worth and more! DO NOT LIVE HERE, or if you do, don't move out because they will screw you, bigtime!
By the way, this is only part of the reason I hate this place!

In Woodhollow's defense, this particular resident had an unauthorized pet and could have been fined and charged a pet deposit. The carpet was ruined by animal urine and waste. As for move out cleaning procedures, this resident did not contact anyone on how to clean the apartment, but at move in was given a move out cost schedule to follow. This procedure WAS NOT followed. It's a shame when someone tears up someone else's property and has to try to ruin the reputation of others. Take responsibilty for your actions and don't try to pawn it off on someone else. I know the manager and she has NEVER yelled or been disrespectful to a resident. In fact, she has been more than nice to people who live or lived at Woodhollow. You try to manage a property with 220 apartments and let's see how you react to someone who destroys property they do not own. I'm sure from the reply you gave it wouldn't be very professional. Your poor language and grammer skills won't get you very far in the working world. Any other comments?

WOW!! I must say that these people writting this bad response must have never lived next door at Village Green. (now that is bad staff) The staff here are Wood Hollow have been very nice and I have even gotten to know of few of my neighbors and they really seem to enjoy living here too. Judy has always been nice to me and the place is always well kept. i really hope more people start to write better review because this really is a nice place for the price.

I never lived in Woodhollow, but I DO know that management was contacted about the moveout policy. The tenant was told to clean like normal, and would basically only be charged to have the carpets cleaned. If management was on the same page, we wouldn't have been told something that apparently was not correct. YOU are the manager and you DID yell at both the tenant and myself whenever you were contacted to make arrangements to have the "damages" taken care of. We have friends who were former tenants and all have said the same about management not being on the same page. Also, we have a friend that still lives in the complex and has been told contradicting statements on the policies to move out. Now, I know that with a property of that size not everyone will be happy. You should be the first to admit this as well. Finally, if you want to bash "poor" language and GRAMMAR skills, you should check the dictionary before you type something you don't know how to spell. We are done with this, and we are done with the complex. Anyone that asks about your complex, Ms. Evans, will be told not to even consider it. The reviews on this site, speak for themselves. We apparently are not the only former tenants who feel this way. 53% approval is by no means good.

I agree with this tenant....the management staff are a complete JOKE! They will try and sqander as much money out of you as possible. BE FOREWARNED....DO NOT RENT HERE! The positive responses they received on this website are probably from them. Judy is the worst manager I have ever had to deal with in my life. Honestly, I do not see how she is still a manager or how she ever became one...WHOA-Who the hell hired her--What a D.A. WORST APARTMENT COMPLEX I HAVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH....Make sure if you move in here that you have some money saved up b/c they will make up things that "need" to be fixed. Monticello Properties needs to wake up and hire new management, b/c as these reviews are showing that is what most of these complaints are about....besides the utility bills. |

I agree with all the negative responses; Woodhollow Apts. are a nightmare--do not live here. Judy is sneaky and dishonest. Wonder how long it will take Monticello Properties to realize they need to make major changes in their onsite management staff??

I lived in Woodhollow from 2001-2004 in apt #1206 and then apt# 315. I moved from #1206 to #315 cause we were having a baby a needed a two bedroom instead of a one. When we moved out both times we cleaned the apartment the best we could and we got all of our deposits back. We didnt have a problem at all.
