Not as bad as people are saying

I've lived at Woodhollow for six months now, and I can honestly say that I've enjoyed my time here. Contrary to what others have said, I haven't found Judy to be rude at all. When I moved in, they had cleaned the carpet thoroughly, although some pretzel pieces had been left behind in the pantry. Not nice, but people can't always get everything perfect.
My apartment is spacious and well layed-out. In general, everything functions, although I've had to call in maintenance several times for various minor issues. Others are correct when they say that the appliances and AC are older models. It's obvious that they need to do some upgrades. But even though it can be an inconvenience to use older appliances, they do usually work. Unlike others, my AC bill has been very reasonable. I keep my AC off during the day and run it only at night. I cook frequently and use my lights in the evening, just like everyone else, and I've never had to pay more than $90 a month. Most months my bill is $10 - $20 less than that. It's all in how frugal a person is with their electricity.
Is there sometimes noise' Of course! It's an apartment complex, and sometimes the neighbors will be loud. But I've never had problems with long periods of noise, and I don't hear much through my walls and ceiling (I live on the 1st floor). Does maintenance always fix things correctly the first time' Not always, but they usually do. And they respond pretty quickly, usually within one day. This is normal for any complex.
My one big complaint, just to forwarn everyone, is the bugs! Maybe the problem is worse for me because I live on the 1st floor, but I've seen more bugs here than I have in any complex. Strange bugs, some varieties I've never seen until I moved here. They do spray inside the apartments, but the spray isn't enough to keep the insects out. This may be due to the fact that Woodhollow is in a woody area.
All in all, my experience has been quite positive here, and if I weren't moving out of the area in a couple months, I would happily renew my lease at the end of the year.
