This is my second time here. We moved to a 3 bedroom apt and quickly decided we wanted to be back where we were. Yes the parking still sucks but they enlarged the spaces and while friends may have to risk getting towed(haven't had that happen yet and we always have company) we also don't have to worry about broken down cars taking the residential spaces or about the friends of others monopolizing the spaces because they are around 24/7. The only ones who get towed are the ones that live there without notice to the office. They are there repeatedly night after night and yup...that means they are taking up a resident's space. A new office manager took over in the middle of our last stay and she is just as congenial as the current manager. If you are a decent human being that speaks to other with the respect you would like returned andwho sticks to your word and pays your bills without tearing the place apart then you are treated with respect and kindness. If you are someone who trashes the place continually, is always late and never sticks to your word and has numerous lease violations then no...I wouldn't be very friendly with you either. The new property manager has gone out of her way to make it feel more like a community and I think she has done well. She listens to what the residents wants and she helps any way she cans. She went out of her way to help us get back in when she didn't have any units ready. There aren't very many ammenities (complex extras for those of you that are verbally challenged) but there isn't any space for them short of tearing down someones home. Yes...we would like a little park for the kids or a pool for those hot summer days but they have no space to work with. I'd rather keep a roof over my head and wouldn't enjoy either of those things knowing they were at the expense of someone having one over theirs. My only true complaint is there are only 2 units with 3 bedrooms. And one of those is being occupied by the same tenant for several years. I keep asking them to tear down a wall and just let me take 2 of them but darn it....the owners just won't have it. It really is a nice place to live. It's quiet, a sense of community with your neighbors and their ARE activities to get involved in. There is park just down the road for those with children and it's walking distance. A VERY short drive for those of us who don't like that "W" word. The city just built a water playground that is also not too far away. Even still walking distance depending upon your desire. There ARE close alternatives to some of the lacking amenities. And the maintenance guys are phenominal in my opinion. I have never had to ask for anything more than once and everything has been done that day or the next business day. Even when my son sent him away because I was not there and my little airhead thought he needed to be paid by me. He came back a few hours later to fix it. We all had a laugh over THAT one. I really do recommend this place but only to those who are looking to be a good neighbor and not to expect the world for free. Have some common sense, be a decent human with manners and be a bit flexible and this just might be the place for you.
