Don't let the bedbugs bite! If they do, the manager will tell you that you must have brought them with you!
Problems noted at move-in were still not repaired at the end of the lease.

The manager had a liscensed pest control technician inspect their apartment and found absolutely no evidence of Bedbugs. The residents were living in a hotel prior to living at Westlake Gardens and if they were attacked by Bedbugs it probably happened there. The residents refused to provide proof that they even had the Bedbugs. It is my opinion that they were looking for a way out of their lease. The manager never accused the residents of lying. I urge you to contact the neighbors because they think this lady is crazy and were happy to see her leave. Westlake Gardens is a nice quiet place to live with a warm, friendly management staff that always go the extra mile to make sure the residents are happy.

Yes, the manager sent an exterminator to the apartment a month after I requested one. the note from the exterminator said that bait had been used. Even the most cursory research on bedbugs will tell you that bait DOES NOT WORK ON BEDBUGS. As far as proof, I took a bedbug to the office stuck to a piece of tape. The police officer who lived downstairs was in the office at the time, ask him. As far as getting out of the lease, we were fine with living there except for being eaten alive. If the management had been willing to work with us on getting rid of the bugs, we would have stayed there. We would not have gone to the added expense of paying rent on two apartments and throwing away a brand new bed if not for the bedbugs.

When I lived there we had the problem with roaches and water bugs. They did not come and spray for them, we had to. Not only that but the apartment uspstairs water would leak into our apartment and like to never got them out to fix it. Had to get rid of alot of towels and clothes that would get wet and mildew by the time you found them. Walls are very thin and noise is a problem. Lived there for 4 years.
