There are some good qualities about this complex. Considering its location, it is quiet and crime-free. There are quite a few children but the parents do a good job keeping up with them and there is not a lot of excessive noise.

The layout of the apartment is rather ridiculous but we knew moving in that it wasn't the best setup and if you pay less then you'll receive less. Basically, we have had two major problems since we moved in, and a few other issues.

ANTS - There is a bad infestation of ants and the complex refuses to treat the source of the infestation, rather having us sign up for weekly sprayings or baitings by pest control. Since this doesn't deal with the real problem, the ants are back within days or even hours.

AIR CONDITIONER - Part of the problem here is the lousy insulation on the apartments. My ongoing issue is that there is inadequate air flow getting to the living room and so I can get my bedrooms cool, but the living room is burning up even when it isn't very hot outside. I've tried shutting the other vents like they told me to do and that didn't work.

The breaker box also caught on fire one day and they didn't seem too concerned that all of our possessions could have gone up in smoke. In fact, one of the maintenance men, said most of the breaker boxes have the same defect mine had that caused it to catch fire.

Maintenance can also be slow. We waited over three weeks for our toilet to be repaired because of the enormity of work orders that needed to be completed ahead of ours.

You get what you pay for. I was in a pinch and needed an apartment in the area fast. I'm wishing now I had never signed the lease, but that is a lesson learned, I guess.
