We spent a year in a top-floor Cherry Lane 3-br unit. The unit was very clean when we moved in, although the appliances, counters, and cabinets were extremely outdated. The unit was freshly painted with very clean carpet. Linoleum in the kitchen and bathrooms. The noise from 2600 south as well as from the interstate were nearly unbearable. The train horn woke us frequently every night. We felt like we didn't sleep well the entire year. It was extremely difficult. Noise from the neighbors was minimal, but on occasion we could hear the neighbors' tv's, both from below and from the side. Several residents have dogs, and we could hear one dog's barking quite clearly. The office staff were generally very nice and helpful, and the maintenance was very prompt and friendly. I would, however, never recommend this complex to others, due to the noise from the street, interstate, and train. These aren't things we really thought of before moving in, but they were daily problems after we signed our lease. Our rent was $905 per month pluse $13/month renter's insurance. Our lease ended in March, and our rent jumped up an additional $140 ($40 of this was the regular yearly increase and $100 of it was due to the fact that we did not sign a new lease).
