I moved to Pepper Ridge Apartments because they were cheap and located close to my job. When I went to look at the place I asked the "lady" in the office what units were available. Threw the keys on the desk, not even showing me where it was. I walked in to the apartment and the place was small, dirty and damaged.
Before I moved in took pictures of everything that was wrong with the place. I wrote down everything that was wrong on the move in check list and handed them in. I cleaned for almost a week before I could move anything in. I figured by that time that the maintenance people would be in to fix everything, including the weird smell in the bathroom. Didn't happen.
Since I moved in I have had nothing but trouble with the management and the neighbors and the safety of the place.
The little snots in the front office are the rudest people I have met in a long time. I refuse to take my rent in there for fear of losing my temper, I ask my boyfriend to do it for me. I have never been treated so badly in my life by any one person before.
The "balcony" is a joke. Its a shoe box they threw on the side of the unit to raise the rent. There are nails sticking out everywhere and the floor boards are rooting because nobody weather proofed them. There is a hole in my closet door, paint on my cabinets, my disposal smokes when I turn it on, and the door knobs are all plastic.
When it snows, they rarely plow and never do my walk way. I went to do laundry in their on-property facility and not only was it locked; the ice was so thick that I slipped and fell on the stairs. Every time I go to pull out I slide into the street because nobody salts. I see the maintenance men around sometimes but they are always with beer in hand or on those motortrikes, goofing around.
I think the floor boards under my sinks are molding or have mildew in them. At least that s what it smells like. I can hear every conversation the people above and below me have. The doors slam at all hours of the night. I hear couples fighting and see children wondering around the complex all the time. This is out of control.
I would never, move in here again. I am moving across the street to Goldstone next week and am so looking forward to the change. If you are looking for cheap rent. Pepper Ridge is the place, but don't expect anything but that.

Holy crap...that was a flashback! I once was standing on my balcony and noticed the maintenance guys looking at porn magazines in front of the storage units. I even have a picture of them on my phone.
