Pros and Cons

I moved into Logan Pointe in 2006. The management is lousy!!!!, they were very helpful getting us moved in, and that is where their help ENDS. We did have a small problem with an upstairs neighbor being incredibly noisy late at night, and we later found out the management knew about this. They are super quick to boot a car that parks where it shouldn't be- and now that's $70 to have it removed.
The Pros are definitely the price, and the area. It's central to everything downtown, the parking is fine if you're careful, and I haven't had any safety issues in the year I have lived here. I pay $530 in rent, and $30 for cable. About $70-90 electrical, and $10-30 gas. I also pay extended comcast cable internet and DVR for about $80. So the price is better than many places, if you can qualify.
The downside is the noise- everything is very paper thin. All of my neighbors are pretty quiet and so am I, but I am sure this might be a detterent for some people.
My biggest complaint is currently the number of smokers. Everyone around me smokes and they aren't considerate enough to follow the 25-foot away rule. If I leave my windows open, I get a ton of smoke drifing in. Lots of residents sit outside, or sit in the pool for hours, leave their trash around, etc.
I say that if you're looking for a short term place at a decent price- and you have pets- this is an okay place to live. But if you want privacy, quiet, helpful management, or extra space, find a new place.
