I lived at Brighton Place for two years. We moved just after the cars were torched. Everything that was said in the other reviews is true. The big gang fight started right under my window. Two people stabbed, beat with bats. The news on tv said that 300 people were involved. I don't know if it was that many, but it was alot. Right after our building was painted the doors were all scratched up by the neighbor kids. The parents don't try to supervise thier kids, but they allowed the children to scratch the doors with a knife while they watched. When ever I try to say anything to them they just say they don't know english. Repairs are a joke, we had a outdoor light fixture that was hanging by a wire for over a year, never touched. All summer long the doors to our neighors apartments are wide open, and it stinks ! Just before we left we got a note on the door that all the units were going to be sprayed for ants, the guy that came said that the apartment next to mine was infested with roaches. But ants could also be the problem, as the stairs were always filthy, and the apartments really smelled when you walked past. All summer every where you go you have to walk past 6 or more guys sitting on the steps guzzling beer, shirts off. When you pass they yell in some foriegn language at you. I am glad we got out of here.
