This is now the 8th Apartment complex I've rented at (my first in Utah) and this is the worst by far. Candlestick Lane is not worth even checking out. From day one, after the move in inspection where they are supposed to fix things from previous tenants, I had to have them come back almost every day for two or three weeks to fix something wrong.
I'm not picky. However things like: A broken shower, huge cracks and holes in the wall, giving us the wrong keys to the apartment, a broken stove, a non functioning toilet, and grossly stained carpets are not usually comforts when moving into a new place. The heating rarely works adequatly, and because of this the heater goes constantly to produce gas bills of over $100. The parking lots are hazards to anyone driving a car. Pot holes everywhere, some big enough to fall in and trip over. I've now punctured my tires twice and thats even avoiding the most of them.
All in all, this is the worst place other than on a park bench that someone would consciously choose to live at. I've spoke with the office many times, and instead of allowing me to leave in peace and avoid having me spread the word, since I work in media here in Salt Lake, they would rather have me give them even more money to terminate my contract early and will not even negociate any of this. It seems like not only the staff but the management in general are honestly more concerned about making money and generating profits than how their tenants should "enjoy" their stay at Candlestick Lane Apartments. Read the rest of the reviews here, and it should be prettty clear that they don't listen, read, or care about any of their tenants concerns because out of all the people who post on this site, only a handful out of the many even say this place is ok.
I moved here from New York City where I was actually paying less per month, yet had all new appliances, nicely paved parking lots, and apartments that weren't falling apart. I should have just stayed there. I am a caucasian, average aged male.
