I am a current tenant of Candlestick Lane Apts. This is the most violent/ghetto apartment complex.I'm a 22 year old female caucasion who is not able to walk alone to my car at night due to the amount of crime and violence that takes place here, I must be escorted by a male friend/family member at all times. I recently decided that due to the amount of violence and lack of security that me and my unborn child are not safe in such an enviornment. For example, one night the police had to tear gas an apartment due to one of the tenants causing problems( the tenant also had on his person a gun). Most recently a large male walked around one whole apartment building demanding to search each apartment in search to find a "Big Black" guy as he called him, who owed him large sums of money and drugs. Once this was brought the to attention of the staff, they only recommend was to move the tenants that were concerned for a small fee of $100, and they also mentioned that another police office was to be patroling the area each night, should it be even necessary for that'
