Not the best place to live: bad neighborhood, outrageous prices, bad quality

I've been at Candlestick for about a year and am re-signing a lease because I can't afford to move out yet. The maintenance here sucks...everywhere I've lived before if it snows or sleets or whatever, maintenance people are right on it; if not at that moment, it's early in the morning before people go to work. I called the "on-call" maintenance number one night because our air conditioner didn't work and it was HOT, and my wife was pregnant and getting too hot. When I talked to the maintenance guy, he said he was 30 minutes away (in Orem) and had just gotten home, and that he'd need to get ready and come back down, so it'll be a minimum of 2 hours, then hung up. He never showed up. These maintenance guys just don't give a crap about anything, and are extremely lazy. My kitchen disposal hasn't worked since I've moved in though they've "fixed" it about 3 times, along with the air conditioning, bathroom fans, dishwasher, one toilet and sliding balcony door. The air conditioner doesn't work at all in the summer, so it's hot as hell and if you turn it on, all it does is run up the electricity bill. The water is of awful quality, which I've expressed multiple times, but the management doesn't care about the tenants either. The apartments are like 30 years old (at least it looks like it) and at least in my apartment none of the appliances work right. The neighborhood sucks, too, with a bunch of punk teenagers living nearby and being loud (they'll allow ANYONE to get an apartment here. probably desperation) and I had my bike stolen a week ago from writing this, and about a year ago had the license plate stolen from my car. The area sucks, and so does the staff. I highly recommend NOT moving in here.

Cry me a river.....it's not like you thought you were getting a suite at the freaking Ritz Carlton. Any apartments you live in are going to have "punk teenagers" if you don't like it get a second job and move into a nicer one, problem solved. If you hate it so bad then move!

You're probably one of the office staff members trying to anonymously defend this --------. Of course I didn't think I was getting a "suite" and the "punk teenagers" part was a very small portion of the review. How about the maintenance staff? That's the main problem. Read the whole review before you act like a jackass. It's pretty sad the only rebuttal you have is the quality aspect and the tenants there as well. For over $900/mo. I expect a little more quality than a seemingly 20-30/year old apartment with ------ appliances.
