I have been a resident for only 2 months now- and I can see it will be a long 8 more months before I can move out of that non-careing community.
In the short time I have been there we have received what amounts to LIP SERVICE from the pretty girls in the office, maintenence issues are practically ignored, and I have - no lie- called about 6 times one one issue!
The place had clean rugs when we moved in- that is about it! Whomever they hire to "clean" have a loose idea of what the word really means, as there was all sorts of treasures in the kitchen drawers...pepper seeds- old lease agreements...bugs...fun stuff. Our running joke is-" oops, there's a nail- we have to hang something there!" and all of the electrical outlets are loose and old- the face plates broken- and goodness knows how long it has been since they have actually painted! It got so bad- after I asked SEVERAL times about outside lights (that had burned out) to be replaced so that someone didn't get killed or raped around the dark corner of the barbeque pit area, that I went to Walmart- spent $7.98 for three flourescent bulbs- and replaced them myself!
We have cleaned all of the gum off of the landing & stairs outside of our apartment- and cleaned it ourselves- as we take pride in our home, and goodness knows that the management wouldn't take any of the $900 a month we get gouged, to actually clean something. They provide poopy bags for your dog- but most of the residents just let their dogs go where they may- and leave it for the rest of us to step into...Let's just say, I don't know about drug dealers---but, since we have been there I am not impressed. And, do ya think my assigned parking could be farther away from my apartment'!'!'! Whew...8 more months to go.

I paid 300$ as lease initiation fee when I moved in and around 150$ as cleaning fee when I moved out. What a ripoff management !!! I wish the dogs would go poop in the leasing office.
