The first week we moved in there was the incident where there was the SWAT team shooting and blowing up the garage across the way from us (due to an inhouse invasion, someone killed, and possibly it was all a misidentity). Thought that was enough to scare the crap out of us, but it wasn't! Believe it or not! The place is super quiet (we live in an apartment next to the freeway / fort union), our neighbors are AWESOME!, the complex is very dog friendly, the staff is very friendly and efficient with maintenance and other issues, the grounds are very well maintained, the amenities are unbelievable for the price, and we actually feel like we live in a small home as opposed to an apartment. We have a washer and dryer in our apt, we NEVER hear a peep from our neighbors when we're inside, lots of dog poop stations and barely any poop on the grass from others, and lots of beautiful trees and green green grass surrounding our apt. There are a lot of happy kids (that actually act like kids not thugs) for our kids to play with, teens, college students, singles, and families here... nice mix of residents that mimic an actual neighborhood, not an apartment complex. Out of our 13 years of renting, this is the best deal and best apartment we've experienced! We love living down the street from the mountains, let alone the conveinence of the markets and shops within a 3 block radius. We feel very safe and very happy here. We will most likely renew our lease if we don't buy a home first.
