We have been living in the Remington Apartments for four months now, and we made the mistake of signing a 12 month lease. The day my husband and I moved in, there were so many problems with the apartment. There is a huge stain in the carpet in the guest bedroom, one of the showers didn't have a curtain rod, and the others was so old that the shoer curtain wouldn't even slide open and closed on it. We got a cigarette fine for throwing cigarettes off the balcony when neither I nor my husband smoke. When I went to talk to the management about it, Pat said that there was nothing he could do about it because our neightbors said they had seen us do it AND that he had seen us do it on more than one occasion. We are towards the back of the apartments, no where near the office so how could he have. We were very upset over this. The grounds are nice, yes, but the gates are always broken due to some incompetant driver hitting them. They keep them open during the winter so they don't freeze and break, which is understandable, but during the first two months, they closed the backl gates all the time, but never the front. They do have a security patrol on site at night, and since I myself work security, it is a little reasuring. We lost power for two days during a really bad snow storm, and yet, everyone else around us still had power. It was freezing by the time they got the power back on. The floor plans for the apartments are okay, but the kitchen is really small and the cabinets are way to deep. The carpet is really bad. The guest bathroom is bigger than the master bathroom. If you are looking for something that is not perfect, may have a feew flaws, but is cheaper, then okay, Remington may do it for you.
