BED BUGS BEWARE!

We just moved out of Remington. It was fine at first, but then we got bed bugs in the last few months we lived there!!! In addition, we discovered there was mold growing in one of the windows. We never discovered this until we were moving out because we never looked behind our curtains. And on top of that, they charged exorbitant move out charges. Not a penny for cleaning because it was sparkling when we left, but they charge for "holes" that don't even exist and the carpet that was never shampooed when we moved in!! Plus, do not rely on them to call you for your move out inspection. They refused to do it when we turned our keys in, but promised to call when they could get to it. Of course they never did!!! Bed bugs don't just appear. According to pest control experts (my brother in law works for bugman)they also would not spread from apartment to apartment so you must have had those, buddie!
Yes, I am a big fan of Remington's and I will continue to respond to these silly reviews cause I am retired and have little else to do.
Oh, yeah. If you never looked behind the curtains, it is very likely you also never cleaned behind the curtains. Mold is also a housekeeping problem.

Well when the window does not have a proper seal on it, it is a maintenance problem. I shouldn't have to constantly wipe up moisture that shouldn't be there. And according to our professional bed bug guy (who we paid so I trust his opinion over your brother-in-law) they can travel great distances in search of a meal, especially when prior tenants have moved out. And they can spread through the smallest of cracks between apartments -- so you can tell your brother-in-law he should probably find a new job since it sounds like he isn't very knowledgable at his.
