Moved in late 2002, absolutely worse apartment I have been in at any price. Construction quality it horrible, there is little to no insulation. Huge gaps existed between front door and frame, which was never repaired (or even attempted to be repaired). Blower unit for A/C and furnace failed several times, usually take at least a week to have someone come out and confirm it was in fact broken and another week, at best, to be repaired. A/C failed every summer I was there for various reasons. Always took at least 1 week for someone to verify it in fact didn't work, and was never repaired on the first attempt. Entire complex seems to be in a state of disrepair and they put only bare minimum effort to keep it standing.

Parking is inadequate. Lighting around building didn't exist 90% of the time I stayed there. If the lights did work, they were on during the day only to turn off at night. Fortunately our vehicles were never vandalized but it wasn't uncommon to see broken car windows the next morning.

Noise was a big problem most of the time. The grounds have the potential to look nice but they don't keep them up. They send out letters warning people with pets to clean up after then, which I agree with, but no effort is put forth by their apartment complex to clean up after the flocks of ducks and geese that live in the complex and litter the entire area with droppings.

Aside from the poor construction, no upkeep and soiled grounds the absolute worse thing about this complex are the management and staff. As a tenant, you are treated as an annoyance until it comes time to renew your lease. Anytime a maintenance call was required, the responses were very short and rude. The staff also likes posting notices to vacate on your door for a variety of reasons. I've had them posted on my door for failure to pay rent 7 days after my rent check cleared the bank on time, I've had them posted for a dog barking though I don't own a dog, and various other reasons. When it is finally cleared up, they are annoyed at you for pointing out their mistake instead of apologizing for the error. Beware also once you put in your notice as my latest and last dealings with this joke of a complex is their claim the they never received my final rent check. No late notice was posted and 10 days prior to vacate I get yet another eviction notice.

Stay FAR away from Hunters Woods!!!
