CROOKS, Money Hungry, Lazy, Foul, Wrong-doers, these are just a few of the less colorful adjectives I use when I think or speak about Hunters Woods Apartments and their practices. You want examples' Yes, you do have to park way far away from your apartment. They DO charge for EVERYTHING they can. My husband returned our apartment keys and left and called me and I asked if he got a receipt for them. He said a receipt for keys' I didn't think I'd need that. Lo and behold, the next day when I called to ask them for a receipt, they conveniently "never got them" They have a so called pool and hot tub. Yeah right, the so called "heated pool" has had a broken heater for at least the 13 months I had to suffer living there. They never fixed it. You can't tell me that with over 300 units all paying over 900$ a month, that they can't afford to hire a pool guy. That also includes everyone that moves in's $199 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit. Hot tub jets don't work, pool never heated. And if your credit isn't absolutely out of this WORLD, they'll charge at least $500 or more extra to move in that you WON'T get back. They will find things that you never did or were there when you moved in, even if you DID write them down, and charge you for them again. I was there 13 months, had to air it out for the first 3 months to get rid of the cigarette smell, left that place immaculate and they charged to REPAINT the place' I never did ANY amount of damage to paint in that place. I mean, how can somebody ruin paint in a year' Their office workers are very arrogant, think there's absolutely nothing wrong with their practices, and laugh their way to the bank. Trust me, you will REGRET EVER moving into this place if you are dumb enough to. You hear birds on the roof even in the bottom apartment, there's drug dealing going on in every building. My famous quote was "it wouldn't be a Friday night without the cops at Hunters Woods" It was a joke, but it was funny because it was TRUE. Aside from all these "outside" problems, the apartment living itself is the biggest hassle. We had MOLD on our bathroom floor, OBVIOUS, SPOROUS MOLD. I submitted work order after work order for them to fix it, only to have to end up sending 2 threatening letters for them to finally come in and just cover it up, not fix it. They won't fix your AC or Heater even if you are dying. It was over 90 degrees one time during the day. We were gone all day and we came back and our ac wasn't working, I called in their "emergency" fix it line at 1 am because we couldn't sleep in the heat. They said the temperature had to be 72 degrees in SLC in order for them to come out. I asked what it was, they said "Only 70" Can you believe the attitude' Over 2 whoppin degrees' They wouldn't have cared if it was 200 degrees INSIDE my apartment, as long as in Salt lake, it was under 72. What am I supposed to do, sleep outside' We had the oldest dishwasher ever, NEVER got fixed...good luck to the next renters. Drug dealers above us breaking in doors at all hours of the night and they wouldn't let us move out a month early. Which brings me to another point. They require TWO months notice to move out. We moved out after one because I feared for my kids after having been threatened by the drug dealers "friends" outside of our apartments. They didn't mind taking my whole 2nd months notice worth of rent even thought nobody was there. You'll hear gunshots, it's on the busiest street ever, there's no place for kids to safely play. In the back of a parking lot' Yeah, that's where you want your kids playing. Their gym equipment is old and half broken. They won't replace your filters regularly. ANYTHING you have wrong with the place will take AT LEAST 2 work orders to fix. And that's IF they get around to it. They won't EVER fix anything wrong with their place, I.E. the pool, grounds, leaky pipes causing puddles in the ground, tree stumps, lightbulbs, ice, etc. but if you so much as breathe wrong, you'll be paying out your whatever for life. If you took the time to read this whole thing and still consider moving in, HERE'S YOUR SIGN!!! ANY good reviews of this place come from the management, go, talk to ANYONE that lives there, ask them if they like the management, if they get things fixed when they call, if they think the rent is reasonable, if they enjoy the pool...ask them all you want, you will NEVER find anyone giving you a good response unless they work there. KHARMA will deal with them in the end, but until then, please listen to someone with experience. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE CROOKS!!!!!!!!

I posted about this dump a little while back and saw many others posted about this overpriced DUMP too.Maybe ppl need to get lawyers or have ksl news do a feature on SLC rip off apartments.
Everyone should report this place to ripoffreports DOT COM too
and the BBB DOT COM
Too bad I waited too long to report at the BBB
What ticks me off the most, is the fact that the office workers treated everyone like ----.

We move in a month ago. Right away there were problems. the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen and bathrooms were filthy. Grafitti on the wall in front of the outside of the appartment. The toilet in the back bathroom would overflow everytime it was flushed and no amount of plunging would make it stop, when it would overflow it would go on and on soaking the carpet in the doorway leading to the bedroom. the entryway was filthy as well as the balcony/well area. The furnace closet was filthy. Dishwasher would not lock so was completely useless. The neighbors upstairs had their toilet overflow in their front bathroom and it would leak down to our front bathroom through the vent. We were told when we moved in that the carpet was brand new.. after one day of my two year old playing ont he floor in her white pants they were gray! We have had to make phone call after phone call asking for them to come and give all this some attention. EVERYTHING i listed here was reported multiple times. Finally the maintinence guy shows up and says that he does not have time to fix everything and would be back later but wanted to fix the overflowing toilet. He left the bathroom completely filthy so I had to clean it AGAIN after spending days getting the filth out then he never bothered to come back to give any of the other issues attention. the worst of all was that when we were trying to reserve the apartment i was going to be able to pay the WHOLE years lease up front. they made us pay over $300 plus all the deposits before they would reserve it for us then AFTER we paid the non-refundable fee they told me that since i didn't have a job at the time if someone else came along and wanted it they would let them have it. Thankfully i only ended up paying for 3 months. Oh and as mentioned before... the play area for kids is insainly ghetto. We drive over to the murray park to let my daughter play because i would never in my wildest dreams let her play on the one here. It's tetnus shot waiting to happen. I can even give anyone pics if they think it's an exageration.
Seriously.. go on craigslist and look at rentals there. We found a beautiful 4 bedroom 2 bath home with a huge yard and garage for the same amount monthy as we are paying for this 3 bed 2 bath peice of crap. Hopefully we will be able to get into that house and out of this filthy place.
