Lighting Challenged

Beautiful complex, staff is okay if you always agree with them - they are like many dry cleaners, they never make mistakes.
Maintenance people are phenomenal.
Really bad crime.
The parking lot lights are VERY dim and many lights are out - if you complain, its as if you are talking to the wall.
(My theory is they keep lights out to cut costs for incentives and a bonus).
I say this because every now and then the lights that have been out come back on.
You have 1 covered parking spot.
The lights in the covered parking area where I park my car have been out one month.
It is very DARK - this is not an exaggeration.
In one night on this property they had 7 car break-ins (not my car thank God) and one apartment attempt.
Thats only one night.
I know a couple who had their car broken in to and sustained substantial damage, and their complaints about shrubs and lighting are met with a smile well take care of it, and then nothing is done.
I have also complained, but things like this go unheard.
While I have lived here they have had several break ins.
They boast about the police living in the front building, and say the property is safe.
Dont you believe it.
The weird thing is when you drive into the complex at night it is dark even where the police live the lights are out.
The only lighting you see is THEIR lighting around their office building.
The safety factor is the only reason I wouldnt recommend this complex.
If you can live with the crime, you will probably like it.
I am leaving at the end of my lease which is February 2003.
