Not Worth The Cash

After living at this place for six months, I don't want to go back.
The staff is entirely unhelpful, there's nothing I could get them to do. Another tenant at the apartment kept parking in my assigned parking space, but the office would do nothing about it. It only ended when the people moved out last month.
To add to that frustration, my parking space was three apartment blocks away from mine. The parking nightmare is only doubled upon with the short supply of unreserved parking spaces, which are usually filled.
Noise is an issue as well. You can hear your neighbors doing EVERYTHING.
It's definitely an unsafe area, cops are constantly in and out.
The price is way too high for what little they give you, and what little they do to help you out.
My bathroom got flooded in the first few months I was there, and the most they did was mop up the water and repaint the walls. Mold persists.
Now that I'm moving out, they are trying to charge me for a new carpet! The only stains there are the regular wear and tear, the kind of thing you can get out with a carpet cleaner.
When I moved in, there was only the light fixtures in the kitchen and the bathroom, I had to buy some for myself, but now they are saying that the lights are missing, when there were none to begin with!
The staff are very nice when they are showing you around and selling you their "deal", but they can get down right mean once you move in.
I wouldn't recommend anyone move into this apartment community, it's a nightmare.

This person is full of crap. If you don't want to hear any noise, move into a damn house! Even then this person would be unsatistied because neighbors are just as noisy 15 feet away! You are wanting house amenities for the proice of an apartment...rediculous!

Re: Anonymous on 09/19/08 - this commenter is incorrect - noise is not an inevitable fact of apartment living. Many apartments are built with attention to blocking out noise, using "condo-grade" construction to insulate each apartment from noises from its neighbors. I know this because I live in such an apartment. Some apartments are built with less substantial walls and floors, saving construction costs but allowing tenants to hear too much of their neighbors! Keep this in mind when you are looking for an apartment.
