Management of this apartment complex are happy to take your money. Charge for every little thing. But they hate anything that actually shows somebody lives there.

My wife and I first came to take a look at the complex we thought it was great cause of how quiet it was. This should have been our first warning. There person how showed it to us obviously knew nothing about the apartments cause most of what she told us turned out to be wrong.

Our family and those around us were constantly getting notices for tiny things or things that were out of our control and should have been the managements place to fix.

The apartments were obviously built on a low budget. Everything in it was cheaply made or installed. The edges of the carpet were pulling up and there was a stain on the bathroom floor.

A month after we moved in the fireplace quit working the maintenance guy would come in and "take a look" and leave. Took 6 months to get it fixed. There was a leak from the fire system on our patio and that was "looked at" multiple times but nothing was ever done about it.

I have not spoke with anyone who has lived there that felt they were worth the rent or that management was anything other than dishonest in there dealings. Don't live there unless you plan on not being there ever.

Hmm--how many people did you speak with? Two unhappy residents? I know plenty of happy people living here. Unfortunately, it's the complainers that know about this site. Those who are happy haven't heard of it. I am definitely spreading the word.

I am glad you are happy there. I figure you are either a new resident, don't spend much time there or part of management. When I lived there Shelly was manager and she had notices sent out about children not being watched and allowed her own to run around. The very building she lived in had pink paint or something on the side of it and the stair well. The building was very poorly kept up and it was the one she lived in. If she didn't make sure that one was maintained properly why should she worry about the rest of the buildings. I agree with the orginal review here. It was more important to management that it appeared no one lived there and that they could find one more reason to bill its tenants more money. I also spoke with several (smart mouth is probably a better username for you) people including current and previous tenents from the church across the street. If your happy good for you. If you are trying to sound smart you failed. If you are trying to make the place sound better you failed again.

OK, this place isn't perfect, but what place is. A few months ago I was SO FURIOUS at the girls in the office so I found info about who runs it (Millwood Management/Millwood Properties) and I called them. I didn't talk to the girls boss because I did before and nothing changed. I actually wanted an apology from 'S' because of how she treated me so unprofessionally, and when I asked for their bosses # they said they weren't allowed to give it out (that's BS, state law says you can talk to their boss). So anyway, I talked some someone at the property management company and sadly the nicer one left, and the boss on site stayed. Now granted I don't know what she has to deal with but I was always taught that when you work in customer service or hospitality, you do it with a smile (even if you don't feel it). I have a new respect for 'S' because I know she really wants to run the place the best she can but there are SO many people who live her that just DON'T care about helping to take care of their place. After the nicer one 'moved to another location' (which I don't believe for a secon) we went through a few leasing agents and our current one is Natalie and she is awesome. Example...my washer broke in mid-cycle and I called and she sent maintenance out right away. It was a Friday and away from when they got off so I was bummed because I have a child! Anyway, they were really nice and polite so I called the office to let Natalie know how professional they were and she asked why it wasn't working, and I told her it was a part. She seemed upset by that answer and that I couldn't get a working washer until Monday, 3 days away! Anyway, after I got off the phone, apparently she called maintenance and within 14 minutes I had a washer machine that was found in storage. None of this would have happened if it wasn't for Natalie. I later thanked her for what she did and she said this is how it's supposed to work, but I said that we were so shocked that someone cared enough to do their job correctly that I HAD to say thanks. We don't/didn't get satisfied service until she came to work here. Yeah for Natalie! As for people saying the walls are paper thin, that's not true for me. I've had to call the cops a few times for noises problems because of parties, but that's it. I don't know why they have so many maintence issues with a newer building, but I think it's the tenants creating the problem. The garages (extra) on site are awesome too! It is a beautiful place because of the gardeners but my opinion the lightswitches are in odd places. Natalie has brought such powerful positivity with a smile, I hope management at Millwood sees this and gives her the credit she deservees for doing her job so well. (This hasn't been reread so I hope there aren't to many typos or things you don't understand. There are a ton of kids here and if you care there are 3 parks too! It's getting better. I know if we can stick it out, it'll be perfect. Meagan
