My wife and decided to live in the Village Apartments for several months after we were first married. BIG MISTAKE. While upfront the management staff seems somewhat professional, they are in reality adolescent individuals who have absolutely no knowledge.
After requesting several times (4) to have the weather stripping on our door fixed in the dead of winter, the job still was not completed until I physically walked over to the maitenance shed and asked the employee if he wouldn't mind fixing our door. Then only was the job completed with a sort of "half-ass" mentality.
When we started our move, and we had to break our lease for personal reasons, the apartment manager led us to believe that we would be in good hands and that the apartment would be rented within several weeks of us vacating it. After calling several times, without returned calls, I was able to contact him, and HE DIDN'T REMEMBER WHO I WAS !!!! I would think that in a business as this, one would remember those who pay his own rent. Furthermore, we were forced to contact his superior after several phone conversations that resulted in, the best way to put this is, "teenage spats" over aspects of the verbal contract that I suspected we had. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE APARTMENTS THEY WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE HELL.
