They use the classic bait and switch tactic when showing you apartments. The demo model that they show is very nice with new carpet, tile, appliances, couches, etc. They never show you the place you are going to live until the day you move in. You soon find out that the apartments vary in renovations. My first apartment had old linoleum flooring that had many holes in it and was coming up at the edges. If you want to switch apartments they charge you $40 to do so. Parking is horrible unless you live in building 1, I have had to park on the street many nights due to lack of parking. The management can be very snotty and like to convince you that they have the right to do whatever they want. Maintenance is slow to fix things so I had to fix things myself. My bedroom did not have a screen for the window, and when I asked the management if they could get me one they said it was low priority. If you are a girl and looking at the Branbury I would look elsewhere, safety is questionable. There have been two rapes in past three months both occured during the day.

So not true.... I lived in the apartment right next to the girl who was supposedly "raped" twice. First of all.... what are the chances of getting raped twice, in broad daylight and no one sees it? She ended up in the psych ward of the hospital for something "unrelated" and when I kept bugging the cops to find out if it had happened (I was freaked out and wanted out of my contract if it had) they finally told me not to worry that things were exaggerated. I hate drama queens.

I lived there at the time and I figured it was all a hoax, however, the branbury still sucks bigtime! i agree with everything that was stated...even the safety. I mean if they get reports of rapes (no matter true or untrue) they need to take initiative and fix the problem...not hire some scrawny lazy security guard who weighs 130 lbs which in turn just jacks up the rent for everyone else.
