OK, here goes. I lived there for 2 years (crazy i know, but I couldnt go anywhere else) Branbury is the worste place to live, here are some reasons why:
1) Parking - Spaces are TINY and there are not enough spots. They make cars pay for stickers, but motorcycles dont have to pay and they take up full spaces. My new car has multiple dings and dents and scratches on it ALL form that parking lot. Parking permits are $20 so start out and after that if you get in an accident, replace window orlose the sticker somehow, there goes 50 bucks for a new sticker.
2) Management - management is not there to help, dont even bother. They will give you automated resposes telling you that its not their problem and that you are pretty much screwed...even if it's their fault. They gave me the incorrect amount of rent to pay and after i paid it they gave me a notice saying that I didnt pay all my rent. Confused I went to the office and they said I didnt pay all of it. I told them that they are the ones who gave me the amount to pay and they said well, its not the right amount...you still owe us $150. I said ok, but can i get it to you next week' thats when my next paycheck comes and I dont have enough to pay right now. They said "No, you have to pay us now! If you dont pay us now we will take legal action and send it to claims...we can send anything to claims that is over $100. yea, it was THEIR FAULT in the first place! Jerks!
3) Security' they get this security guard because there were claims of rape being made...you look at the "security guard" and you just laugh, the kid is maybe 20 years old, 5'10 and weighs 130 lbs...all he does is sits in his car and watches things on his computer...its a joke. and you're paying for it.
4) Rent is outrageous. Rent goes up every semester so they can throw more rocks out in front of the clubhouse and make it look nice for unsuspecting visitors. They wont show you the unit that you have singed a contract for either.
5) maintanence - Slow to say the least. It takes multiple (no less than 4) written claims and personal visits to the office bofre any maintanece will be done. Our disposal was broken and clogged for 2 weeks. the apartment stunk! Maintanece didnt come until AFTER we threatened to call health services, no joke. Also, it took them over a month to replace a tube light in our kitchen, 3 weeks to fix my roomated door frame. Maintanence is a joke. The people cleaning my carpet on the last day i moved out stole my $165 sunglasses too.
6) Sprinklers - Now this isnt something you would think of as a problem...at branbury it is. They sprinklers come on between 11 and 12 every night. The ones that DO come on at this time are the ones right next to the apartment, making it IMPOSSIBLE to get in and out without getting drenched (literally). What a convenient time to have the sprinklers on huh' whynot turn them on at like 2 or 3 when noone is trrying to go in and out of there apartments for 12:00 curfew!
7) Special Services - Yea, they have "free" tanning and "free" haircuts but good luck getting on the list. Not once was i able (or wanted to for the matter) get a free haircut. yet, I paid for dozens of other people to get their hair cut out of my rent.

This place looks appealing at first, but trust me, It's a sham. Never will i let one of my friends live at this place. The Branbury is a bunch of Lying Cheating Dirty Slumlords who's only concern is to bend you over and...you get the picture. DONT LIVE THERE. consider yourself warned.

Yeah, Management is helpless. The little girls in there are not there to help you, but to help themselves. They are bratty and have no respect. Security? 3 drunk guys tried to jump one night. Too bad that toothpick security guard wasn't there, he would have gotten his butt kicked. Luckily I was able to knock 2 of them down. The third guy took off running. I would never recommend living here. Never.

The little girls that work there think they are celebrities or something. They need to go back to hair school where they fit in. Have you seen the branbury commercials they have out? The girl in the commercial has the marg simpson hair cut. It looks like there is a large hairy mammal on her head. I hated this joke of an apartment complex. I always tell people to not even consider moving there.
