tried to apply for an apartment here, put down a deposit, but there were no open spots.

I've been trying to get my deposit back for about a month; apparently it has been "in the mail" since early June.

I've repeatedly checked back to no avail, I'm told to just wait and be patient, the check will come.

Last time I checked, mail didn't take a month.

I'm battling to get my deposit back for an apartment I never had!
