It is true, management provides a packet of info on how to prevent mold. It says you have to run the exhaust fan for at least 45 minutes a day. This fan is so loud you can't hear yourself think. They might as well have said you need to scrub all hard surfaces with bleach to keep the mold down. The heating and AC is ridiculous (no central air). The AC is a wall-mounted box that sits in the living room. THERE IS NO AC IN THE BEDROOM. Also, heating is done through that same wall-mounted box by blowing air over heated coils. The bedroom's heating is a long heated coil under the window (it makes us nervous that a pillow will fall down there and end up burning us alive.) Parking is ridiculous. It is very noisy (right on University Avenue - semi trucks fly through at 1AM with their engine break blaring. My wife and I have to sleep with earplugs). Grounds (plants/trees) are nice, but I'd say about 40% of washing machines are always broken. We just got a notice that we can re-lease after our contract is up for the promotional rate which is $40 higher than what we pay now. Prices are going up, but quality is definitely not. Shower broke early on, broke again not too long ago. They didn't fix it well, we now have to do calculus to turn the water on. Basically, if you are thinking of renting here, look harder.
