Foxwood Condos

Pros: The condos are very nice, especially those on the second story, which have two levels. The rooms are very spacious, and they are in pretty good condition - the furniture was reasonably new/comfortable. You can also pay your rent online by credit card / debit card if you choose, for a small service fee. You can pay by check as well, never had any problems there.

The ward there was excellent during the spring/summer - thought it can be on the small side. If a few people are social, you can get more people involved. The ward included Foxwood Condos, and Canterwood Condos just to the north.

Spring/Summer prices for the condos were $95 with a fixed $40 utilities fee - not bad for all the space we got! Fall/Winter prices go up a LOT though.

Cons:
The cleaning checks were RIDICULOUSLY DIFFICULT TO PASS. I and my roommates had NEVER even come close to failing cleaning checks in the past, and here, not a one of us escaped without having something minor to re-do. It was literally a ROYAL PAIN to please them. The cleaning ladies would complain about the most MINOR THINGS. It took an hour and a half to do final cleaning checks at the end of summer, for dusting doors, and re-doing the most miniscule tasks. I literally never want to see the face of that cleaning lady again. Regular re-checks cost $10 per person. Be prepared to pay that at least once.

The pool is shared between a number of complexes, including families, so it can be kinda crowded with small children from time to time during the summer. You can reserve it for group parties though.

While staying here, both myself and my roommate had our bikes stolen off the rack that management had placed in underground parking. One other person we knew there also had hers stolen in the same time frame. About two weeks apart. All bikes were locked securely in place. We filed police reports, but don't think we'll ever hear anything back. My roommate also had his car stolen from underground parking there - it was recovered, but he then had to go drive it back from Iowa, where they had driven it to. Signs on the underground parking claim that they are under video surveillance, but there are no cameras at all. They were also stolen, apparently. Multiple times. I would not keep anything in underground parking if I were you. They recently moved the bike rack above ground - they had sent out a reminder email to tell all residents that bikes were not allowed anywhere but the rack. My roommate and I had something to say about that, and management had the rack moved in a couple of days.

Internet is not wireless unless you have a wireless router (they have a limited number that you can 'check out' from management when you move in) - and it can be a little slow at times.

During spring and summer there were some young families in the mix, staying in apartments/condos right above or across from us. It kinda put a damper on late-night activities from time to time. Walls between apartments aren't the most insulated for sound.
