Anxious to move out!

I have lived in Glenwood for two years and the only reason I stayed a second year is because I wanted to live with my same roommates again and they were too busy to go searching for a new place to live. Plus it is really close to campus. But that's about all it's got. Getting any repairs or requests from management is like pulling teeth and our neighbors feel the same way. We had to take our complaints to BYU to get repairs going, but they still haven't repaired everything to meet BYU's minimum housing requirements. I know they have remodeled some apartments which look really nice (to match the nice looking outside; inside our apartment doesn't look nice), but you'll end up paying an extra $100 per month. Management makes you work directly with the cable and Internet companies if there are any problems there, which usually ends up with the company blaming management and to talk with management instead of them. Parking is squished and the lots are so bumpy I'm surprised I haven't broken an axle on my car. You may think I'm exaggerating, but I'm not.
The washers and dryers take forever and don't even get the job done. The rooms are really small for two people and my roommate has enough clothes that he's put up several of his own racks just to store them. The walls are hardly sound proof. If there's a party/band in the middle recreation area, good luck trying to fall asleep before midnight. Having six guys in such a small living space was difficult to maintain. I've heard upsetting stories from the girls in the ward about the same thing in their apartment. I know of a few break-ins to both apartments and cars (including my roommate's) even though the area is pretty well-lit. I guess you can't completely escape from crime even though we're usually poor college students so why anyone would steal from our community is beyond me.
I would not recommend living here to anybody thinking about living here unless they get into one of the remodeled rooms and don't mind pulling teeth with the management. I enjoyed being so close to campus, but the place I'm moving to is so worth being a little further away from campus. I have had enough of a rough experience that I don't mind if you call me to talk more about my experience in Glenwood and convince you to live somewhere else: 801-937-4242 (Salt Lake number).
