Moon Apartments

I moved in during winter 08, and the apartment was highly filthy. I learned that our apartment was one of the two that did not get remodeled, hence the filthiness. However, after a week of cleaning, I decided with my roommates to push for new carpet and flooring in our kitchen. I talked with the manager, and the owners decided to come themselves to check out how bad our carpet and tile in the kitchen looked a few days later. This meant a lot to me. The owner (husband) seemed a lot more concerned than the wife did when he saw our filthy situation; in fact, I felt like the wife did not care about the quality of our living conditions from the comments she made. This might not be a very fair analysis, but that is how we felt. The husband was much more fair and practical about our apartment. He saw the grungy carpet and immediately decided that it needed to go. This made us happy. He also said that the tile would be removed also.

After our apartment wrote a nice letter to the owners, they scheduled a date for the remodeling and it was done! Now we have new linoleum that looks nice, and good carpet. It looks and smells a lot better now, and I am not so sure I want to leave next semester.

This was my only experience with the management/owners so far, and I got a fairly quick positive response, so I recommend it thus far.

I do think it is a little bit more expensive than it should be, but it is very close to campus.
