Good First Apartment

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
The apartment is furnished well enough for a beginning couple. There were a few problems with the furnishings but nothing that can't be managed. The apartment seemed to be well maintained, and all problem that we encountered we dealt with quickly. We had a broken front door knob, a few ants in the bathroom, and the freezer leaked a little. Each problem was dealt with, and the maintanence workers were quick and got the problem fixed
The apartment is nice, and has a well working wall unit for heating and cooling the apartment. However, the unit is not able to heat or cool into the bedroom very well. However, we felt that it was sufficient enough.
The office staff is really hit or miss. She is nice enough for normal needs, but anything more she becomes annoyed and less helpful.
Noise wasn't too much of a problem. The walls are thin, but most of the tenants are not too loud thus it did not bother us. Unless you live on the North side, because the garbage truck wake us up every Thursday. None the less, I would encourage anyone wanting to live here to live on the north side. That is apartments 1 through 5 apartment. The reasons are that the windows face north, thus the apartment is cooler because the sun does not hit the apartment bedroom all day.
I would stay away from apartments 206 and 306. They are the least attractive because 206 is right above the laundry room and can be loud, and 206 and 306 have two windows , one in the living room and one in the bedroom, that face the walking area and could be annoying.
Parking is great. Lots of spaces and the maitainance cleared off snow pretty well. We did have some things stolen from our vehicle, but I have lived in other apartments in the area and it has happened to friends. Thus I think it is more of a garage problem than the specific parking at Roberta Linn.
It is also nice that it is close to campus. It took me about 10 minutes to walk to the south side of campus.
Other good perks are utilities are included to a point, and there is a decient deal on phone, tv, and internet. Internet is cheap, and you get what you pay for.
Overall we loved staying here, and we would recommend it.
