Although this hasn't been confirmed by management, I've heard that there have been further problems with bedbugs, and that management is requiring people who have already signed contracts now sign a form that releases management from responsibility should further infestations break out. From my personal observations, the residents have been as compliant as their hectic, college-student schedule would allow, yet the problem still persists.
Perhaps it would help if some of the furniture was finally changed - some of the matresses and couches are pretty nasty. Some girls in the complex told me that they had filled out maintenance requests for new couches, but management came in, looked at the couches, and said they were "fine." I've seen these couches - there is at least one substantially sized hole in each seat cushion, often more. You can see the stuffing. The fabric is worn and pilling, and the arms have been worn smooth - it looks like a couple of decades of accumulating hair oil has started to blacken the fabric. Anyone outside of a third world country who honestly thinks that these couches are "fine" is seriously lacking in self respect.
On the plus side, there's a nice, well-maintained pool, and great people. Unfortunately, a lot of these great people are getting out fast, just like me.
