My wife and I weren't so lucky as to read this forum before renting, but everything anyone says that is bad about union square is absolutely true if not an understatement. The management is horrible. I never dealt with Jackie but my wife says she was a witch from hell. Steve seemed nice to me but that may have been because I am not a small guy. However when my wife has to deal with him he is rude and demeaning. They are very unhelpful and obviously don't like working with people in general.
The hot water went out on us last sumer for several days in a row, the AC leaks and doesn't do a very good job unless you run it constantly which will mean your rent could be $50-70 over. The internet services that are offered are way over-priced and are extra slow, the customer service people must be related to the management because they are just as rude and unhelpful.
Please, please, please if you can avoid this place do it. Find somewhere with good management and nice apartments for your money, don't make the mistake we did.
