The Brittany seemed affordable enough, but I discovered eventually it was not worth it.

My apartment was filthy (smoke stained walls) when I moved in. The cupboards were dusty, the linoleum old and dirty. There were MICE in my apartment! Many of the residents were noisy (a lot of children running around, some wild parties, and a few domestic disputes while I lived there), rude, and there was often blatent drug use outside. The managers didn't seem to care or take notice.

The location may seem convenient because it is directly on 7th East, but it is also very dangerous when turning into the complex and inconvenient when leaving.

The only positive points about the Brittany when I lived there a few years ago were the gas fireplaces and the private balconies. But unless you like mice, dirt, and noise, and if none of these things have improved since 2000, don't live here.
