Cobble Creek is a nice place to live

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
I moved into Cobble Creek in June 03, and plan to move out when my lease is up in June 04. My decision has nothing to do with problems with the complex, though. When I first applied to move in I was accepted, but a minor alcohol by a minor offense I had 5 years prior held up my moving in. They made me run all around town to get papers from the court and stuff proving that I was not a criminal. I guess this is nice that they filter out anyone with a criminal background, but COME ON PEOPLE, A 5 YEAR OLD DRINKING TICKET FROM AN 18 YEAR OLD KID (at the time of the citation)'! Anyways, the grounds are beautiful with the exception of duck droppings, which is a small price to pay to have wildlife in your backyard, I felt. I had several problems with my kitchen and bathroom sink and even though the maintainance people were usually pretty quick to show up (usually no more than 1 or 2 days) and fix the problem, it was only a temporary fix. I seriously had them come to fix the same sink 6 times in just a few months, I finally gave up and just dealt with a crappy bathroom sink for a while. The office staff was pretty nice most of the time with the exception of one. I dont want to mention names but Ashley was always cranky everytime I called the office. I was made to feel I was making her go out of her way to do her job(I think she may have even been the manager). I also had problems every now and then of people parking in my resident parking spot, and even though in the lease it says to call the office in these situations they didn't do a thing to try and help. I got lucky and had great neighbors for the most part, very friendly and not noisy. The feature of having a gated community was more of an annoyance than anything. The gates close at 8:00pm and visitors will just line up and wait for a resident to come and let them in, also the guest box where visitors were supposed to go to get buzzed in didnt work well at all from what I heard. On the good side, If you get an apartment facing east you have a great view of the Wasatch Mountains, and it is a quiet and peaceful community. Though I felt it was a little overpriced for the age and quality of the apartment units, I would still recommend Cobble Creek. Also the pool, hot tub and sauna were all very great. Hope this helped.
